Bunk board sizing?

I have a 1974 18 1/2' Starcraft Holiday. The trailer that it came with only has 60" bunk boards and 5 keel rollers. The bunks are shot and need replaced. Is there a certain length I should replace with? These 60" boards don't support a lot of the boat and don't help with guiding the boat onto the trailer at all.
Thanks

Stay with the same length or maybe a little longer towards the rear. If they stick out a bit ...... it gives you a good place to step up on.

Just a reminder......... I would avoid pressure treated. I have used regular wood that I coated with polyurethane (A few coats) then bunk carpet.

I too reccommend staying with the same length boards. With only 60" boards that is not a bunk trailer. That is a keel roller bunk trailer. Of course you could redesign it into a bunk trailer with money and work.
