Bunk placement on roller conversion

I have decided to change the roller setup on my ez load trailer. My question is how close to the strikes should the bunks be located? The boat is a 1974 16' Starcraft SS. I think I can use the existing mounts with some fabrication work and should be ok. I would appreciate any suggestions from those who have ventured down this path before me!

I have a 82 Starcraft 16 SS, and my bunks are a couple inches from the strake. About where your outermost wheel is. I think you want them to be able to pivot, as mine do.

You are sure that's an EZLoader? The colour looks more like a Calkins
