Bunks positioned wrong?

While recently under my "new to me" boat, installing a keelsheild, I noticed there is some gelcoat scraping and wear on my lowest strakes. The previous owner had, within the last few years, replaced the bunks. I think he may have positioned the forward portion of the inner bunks incorrectly as it appears the strakes need to crossover (inside to outside) the bunk during loading. In my mind, this should never happen. The height of bunks are not adjustable but the angle is and obviously where the bunk attaches to the bracket. I would think I could readjust the forward portion of the bunks to move them inward. What do you think? The boat is a 1991 Rinker Captiva 206.

I will take some pictures. I'll also try putting it in deeper to unload and load but I'm not sure how I'll know if it's helping. Thanks.

Ayuh,... My thought is,...
It'll be settling down onto the bunks, rather than Drug up across 'em...

The bunks should be Flat to the hull where it travels...
Moving them Inward will raise the hull off the trailer farther...
