Re: burned out speed /temp guage display

Are you looking to diagnose the temp gauge, or depth? Confusing.
If temp, likely a sending unit. Located on the front of the intake manifold. To test you can use a test wire to ground to the sending wire, gauge should peg. Or disconnect the sending wire and ground it.
If the gauge pegs, its the sender.

Speedo is prob actuated thru a pitot tube, which has a pickup on the transom. Possibly the pickup is in the up position instead of in the water. Could be a clogged pitot tube as well.

Still not sure what you're looking for: speed/temp display? or depth finder display? If you have a digital speed/temp display of some sort, it must be aftermarket.
