I have a 1993 5.7 v8 and as i am going down the lake the boat quit running. it cranks over fine. I replace the cap, rotor and coil and it ran fine for 3 hours and killed the new coil , any suggestions?
Check your service manual for voltage specs going into your coil. Some coils require 12V, some require stepped down voltage. If you are putting too much voltage to the coil it can burn it up in a hurry.
