What would cause a battery wire to get so hot that it would melt in two at the terminal? This occured after installing a new ignition switch. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
I would guess you installed the ignition switch with a dead short causing the battery to overload the wires. Are you sure you installed the ignition switch correctly?
