Buying 115 hp johnson no controls...how to start?

Going to pick up a 1990 ish 115hp johnson for a friend today. I want to test run it but the guy says he has no controls. I have started them before by jumping 2 of the pins in the harness plug.

My memory is failing me. Anyone know which one's to jump?

I have run them by disconnecting the engine harness where it connects under the cowel and using jumper cables to engage the starter.
The only way to shut it off is to choke it down, don't run it out of fuel until it stops, causes lack of lube on the cylinders.

I have tried that way before but it was slow cranking. Maybe I just didn't have a clean connection.
