I am close to purchasing a 21' jet boat with 300 hours on it. It is very clean and has been well maintained.
The compression test on the 350 Vortec was 180 lbs all around. The Hamilton 212 looks ok, with the impeller showing the anticipated amount of wear for the time on the engine. It has a few 'dings' in the wear ring and several leading edges will require 'cleaning up'. The tolerance on the impeller/w.ring gap will require some tightening as it appears over 0.030 around.
I am seeking any advise from those with North River jet boat experience. Is there anything I should look for on my sea-trial today? It looks great from what I have seen so far...
Thanks very much!
