I have a '93 chris craft with the notorious 454 king cobra and omc outdrive. My engine is fine but I need to replace the outdrive. I've been looking around the internet and have found a few Bravo units that range from 1000 to over 5000. I found a possible lead on an '88 boat with a 454 mercruiser and a bravo one outdrive with 493 hours. He says boat runs but does need some minor work. Service to the outdrive upper adjustment pin being one of the items. I would assume the out drive would be a direct swap since it is coming right from another 454. My engine has about 720 hours and has the spitfire ignition so I also be able to swap over the ignition package if needed? Would it be easier to just swap the entire engine and drive? If I can get everything for around 2k would it be worth it? Thanks in advance for any help!

If all is in good shape, yes, good deal
If not in good shape, no, bad deal.
