Had a friend who brought one back in the early 90's. I do not beleive there was any duty to be paid (re "free" trade) but there was the TAX that he could not escape. You will have to pay PST on the trailer as well. Make sue there is a valid ownership for the trailer and that you have a signed copy of the bill of sale with the Vin of the trailer included. Make sure the Vin # on the ownership and bill of sale ALL MATCH the VIN on the trailer (Trust me on that one).<br />Call or visit Canada Customs before you leave just to make sure that you have ALL THE BASES COVERED. Country of where the boat was manufactured may be a problem, if outside the U.S.

I forgot to add - boat has to registered at Canada Customs. Trailer must be done at Licence Bureau and that is where you pay your taxes unless they try to collect at the border.
