I am looking at replacing my 1997 Suzuki DT15C with a Yamaha 25hp outboard. Both are and will be longshaft engines. I'm just looking to maximize the power that my boat can handle. I plan to sell my engine on Craigslist and come up with the rest of the money to buy a new Yamaha.
My question is:
Has anyone bought a new Yamaha online? I have found 2 places www.boats.net and www.onlineoutboards.com that have them both for a good price, new, and with a warranty. What are your thoughts? Also, on a 16' Lund WC will I notice much power and speed difference between a 15 and 25hp engine?
