buying advice

Looking to buy my first boat. If we go new it will probably be a 20 ft G3 Suncatcher f/c or Tracker Sunchaser f/c. Probably a 60 four stroke, although I would like a 90. Both seem to be good mid level boats and both are within an hour of us. Are dealer prices firm or is there a rule of thumb for making an offer? I am hoping to take advantage of the slow economy.

Thanks for any advice. I have already learned a great deal from iboats and its followers.

Re: buying advice

There are a lot of great used toons out there and with the savings over a new one you can get the larger motor that you want.
We have th 60 on our 2006 Sweetwater and I wish it had a 90.
The dealers may move some on the price as it is a very slow time for boat sales, and there are people out there who have to sell their toons for many different reasons.
With the boating season winding down you have picked the perfect time for buying.

Good luck.

You can probably get a one or two year old boat with a 90 for less money than a new one.
