Hi,
I'm looking at a 1980 25.5 Wellcraft SUNCRUISER. It has a 350 Motor (don't know the type yet). The owner says the motor was rebuild and has about 5 hours on it. My question is...
What should I look out for when buying a boat?
How can I make sure the engine is a 'Marine' engine vs a Car engine?
Where could I find an owners manual?
Where could I find an engine manual (when I find out the type)?
How do you dump the gray water?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

-Pete

Re: Buying my first boat.

If you're not sure what to look for, a professional inspection would be worth every penny.
They're all 'car' engines with minor adjustments and marine components added.
Good luck on an owner's manual, the engine/drive manuals used to be linked, but I think have been removed.
Usually gray water is just drained out, I know my sink just drains out the side.
