I need to get some more supplies as in resin and gelcoat and was wondering what any of you have found to be the least expensive place to purchase. Alot of the places that I have bought before charge a good bit for shipping and I know this is due to the hazmat shipping charges. Most of the time I have bought from USCOMPOSITS. Which place are most of you buying from when you have to get a large or larger quantity?

USComposites is the cheapest I've seen, if you find someone cheaper let us know.

I bought all mine from US Composites BUT the freight and especially the Hazmat charge can be hefty. Depending on the quantity you want, it can sometime work out cheaper to pay more for the individual product locally, but then save on no freight and hazmat. After doing my full resto, I needed a gallon just for small jobs. I bought that from West Marine. Paid more than USC, but saved on freight and no hazmat. It might be worth dusting off the yellow pages and looking for someone local. YP still has it's uses besides a door stop these days!

There's a supplier in Memphis that has good prices. I can't remember the name but I'm sure if you look you'll find them.

I checked sometime back in Memphis, the place is Advanced Plastics. They have a couple differant places around the country. I was quoted $108 for 5 gallons of poly, hardner was $4.95 for 8 ozs I think. Advanced Plastics, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee. 888-387-4848. They were a little higher on some of their other stuff, but I plan on purchasing the resin from them in a couple months when I start my restoration. If you are close to Memphis, it will save you the freight and hazmat charge.
