An elbow fitting for the water hose going to the fuel cooler has broken, #34 on the diagram: http://cdn.boats.net/diagram/Merc/COMMON//1771.png
Can I bypass the fuel cooler (temporarly) and connect the hose going to the cooler to the hose going from the cooler, so I can get back home, or will this damage the engine?
I understand that the correct thing would be to replace the elbow fitting but I'm out on the sea and would like to get back home...
