I recently purchased a 96 Larson with a Onan generator. I can't seem to get any power to the detectors. I ran a hot to the detectors and they worked fine. I traced the wiring back to the engine room and it seems to go to a solenoid that looks like what would be used on a starter. I have not run the generator since the sea trial because boat is on land. Maybe since '96' was not a mandatory year for detectors that the generator needs to be run before these detectors work. Any ideas?
