Hi to all,
So om the grand opening day my wife and i went to check out Cabella's ...we were already familiar with this big outdoor activities stores after driving like 4 times nearly 300 Km to the nearest "big" store...Bass Pro Shopps in Airdrie Alberta near Calgary (Canada) .Well we kinda expected "a la BPS" type a store but they are not even close...they may not even be a match for our local Canadian outdoor store named Wholesale Sports...and that is only a maybe...(we got two of those in town
) and all i can tell you that my wife and i left some serious cash in there...4 G Loomis rods,5 St. Croix rods...,5 Shimano reels,3 Abu Carcia reels, 2 Abu Garcia rods, 1 Humminbird sonar, God...the list is nearly endless...btw did i mention that all this was purchased in the last 10 months...or so.Anyways it is kinda nice to have a big "name" store but at "only" 70.000 sq. feet in comparison to BPS (Airdrie location) at 150.000 sq feet it does feel small., tomorrow i'll be going to meet Mariko Izumi...

...the wife knows how i feel about Mariko...so she'l be keeping a close eye on me...
. So in the end ...yes the store is nice but not huge or even big...we will still be driving to Bass Pro Shopps nearly 300 Km away for the "real" outdoor store, we waited for months for Cabella's to open and...
:rolleyes
Dan
