Cabin padding

We are wanting to get rid of the old foam pad in the forward berth. It smells and is probably the original. <br /><br />Here is my questions on getting new padding. The original is just a 4" foam pad. It isn't very comfy at all. Now there is this Memory Foam. Can I just use the 4" memory foam without any other padding underneath it, or should I find a more dense pad to place under it. We spend the weekends onboard and like to be rested up for the workweek. Right now we get rested up at home for the weekend.<br /><br />Any ideas or what you use? Thanks.

that padding will work just fine SS. try to enclose<br />it in plastic b4 u cover it so it won't absorb<br />moisture and smell like mildew down the road.
