cable adjustment?

Lately with my Chris Craft cuddy it seems I have to fiddle with the throttle lever(pull out hard)to get boat to start.Is there an adjustment? The cable was replaced by the marina two years ago.We were at a sandbar this past weekend and when it was time to go I didn't think it was going to start.I had to turn key of and pull throttle lever in and out several times before it started.This has happened a couple of times recently.<br /><br />Kevin

Are you saying the starter didn't engage when you turned the key to START, or are you saying the engine turned over but simply wouldn't start? These are two distinctly different problems.

The starter did not engage.When you turned the key nothing happened,no crank,no click,no nothing.
