Can anyone advise on whether the length of starter cables effect starter performance? I have 9 ft cables due to battery position in boat, cables are very heavy duty probably 4 gauge. thanks, dog
You should be fine with 4 gauge. It does affect it the longer you get, but with the heavier wire, it compensates for it. Besides, starting is a short burst.
