Boat from 1960... WHat is the process to correctly lube the control cables?

Try to get the manual for the boat. It will have that info and tons of other stuff you will need.

Ayuh,...........

Most Cables,..... Even the 1960s 1s,..... Are usually None Servicable items......

Replacement is about the Only Answer.......

Not necessarily true. My local OMC guru has a nifty little hand pump that you can slip a hose over the end of the cable and pump lubricants into the cable. This of course only helps if the cable way is dry, not worn out. I use the pump on my 32 y/o OMC shift and throttle cable and they work like greazzzzzed lightning now. The pump had a little pressure guage on it so you could watch the pressure dissipate as the lube was forced into the cableway.
