Cable Steering Motor on Teleflex Boat?

Hello, I purchased a 1973 Evinrude 40hp Today, I am working on a 1973 MFG carefree, which I had intentions on using a teleflex motor with it. BUT now I need some kind of conversion kit, I bought the steering already, installed it and it works good. Just dont know how I'm going to hook it up. I was thinking of getting some threaded tubing at HD, getting some U bolts of some kind, and bolting it to the transom below the motor and just buying a motor connection or fabricating one myself. Here is the plan..... If there are any kits out there or a better way to do this, LET ME KNOW!Thanks!
