Mercruiser -. I have a 2001 4.3 vortec eng with Weber 4bbl/adapter plate on Edel 2114 intake. I am using a 96 4whd vortec cam. This is in a 206 regal valante/21p alum prop. The 4bbl Weber carb was on the original 93 4.3 eng. I read in the posts and got the #1485 calibration kit to change the metering rods to enrichen the fuel mixture, but do I change the primary or secondary metering rods,. The jets seem to be the same as already there. I think they meant the secondary rods but not sure. If I need to go to diff size rods, please advise. Thanks D Mc

The Weber carbs dont have secondary metering rods.

OK heres my sign. I had understood that if the carb had Torx hd screws in the lid it was a Weber (wrong) it is a Quadrajet . I still need to know which metering rods to change, pri or sec. The Merc manual says it already has .096 jets in it. Thanks, D Mc

I'm trying to follow the suggestions from ones who have done this change over, and needed to enrichen the fuel mix. I was not just looking for something to do. Thanks for your suggestions.
