BillP I seemed to have hit a snag literally.<br /><br />I was sewing a straigt piece of fabric so I could show my kids how to sew and make pillow cases. I put the machine in reverse to back stitch and removed the fabric.<br />I then had my little girl turn the wheel and hold the thread. It looked ok but no stich and then she hit the pedal and I heard a click and the machine stopped! It was buzzing like the motor stalled. I removed the fabric and cleared the little jam. The machine is fine but it was in reverse with no fabric it whacked it out of adjustment. When the needle is supposed to be up its not in the same position it was. It also does not pickup the bottom tread.<br /><br />Help as I need to sew some cushions and pillow cases!

Also the front plate wharew the bobin holder is had 1 clip off I noticed right after the incident.

Bummer. Did it bend or break the needle? It may have slipped timing. Usually the shuttle that holds the bobbin case slips or the needle bar slips. It isn't difficult to re-time but doing it over a message board is impossible. Do you have a manual? Sailrite's LSZ is the same as yours and they have a download manual available for $20 or so. If you take it to a sewing repair shop figure 15 minutes for the fix.

Manuel has very basic information. Needle did not bend or break. With needle in machine it will turn by hand, I dare not try the motor!<br /><br />I guess timing is whacked. Will figure it out some how!<br /><br />Bill P I understand this is like telling a guy how to redo a motor. Its simple with the manual but hard to talk somebody through it.

Sorry I can't help from out here. A quick trip to a sewing repair shop may be your best bet.
