I have torn my 1987 Merycury inline 6 lower unit apart, my current problem is looking to replace all the bearings and seals but I appear to have a Cam-shift II style propeller shaft, and an Easy shift style bearing carrier. Any thoughts on this and or will it work? basing Cam-shaft II on the fact that I have three balls in the cam follower set up, and Easy shift style bearing carrier off the fact that I have the cover nut and not the two separate bolts. The unit has had a problem leaking, is this maybe the problem? Or do I replace the seals and it'll be fixed?
