Can a 25 hp Merc 4 stroke be altered to get more ummph (a few more horse)

I have a Mercury 2007 25 hp 4 stroke EFI...Is there any thing that could be done mechanically to give it a few more horse power?

I have the 2006 model mercury 4 stroke. The only way is to buy 30hp ECU.....only a thousand dallars. Theris no way to program your ECU that I have heard .

Do you know that that would work? Where would I get one? Are they difficult to replace?
