Thanks for the link, but I'm around 300 miles from the boat, cannot get any info until I see it personally tomorrow. I just wanted a ballpark age that the motor could be.

Ballpark, 1968. Definitely an electric shifter.

im not thinking 1968. maybe early 70s. Unless im wrong 1968 Johnson's were not offered with elec shift. Correct me if im wrong. The boat i am rebuilding has a 1968 85 johnson and the decals are different.

It's actually a hydro-electric shift which is different than an electric shift. That style gearcase was used thru 1972.

Thx for the info! Helps a lot. All I can say otherwise is DAMMIT, but I figured it was electric shift, unfortunately.

3 cylinder Triumph model....looks like a TR-10.
They were only made in 1968 &'69.

Power heads were strong :D... ignition system not so much ...:(
