I know it is a helm pump but I can't find one like it ANYWHERE!
I work for a marine manufaturer and they were cleaning house in R&D and THREW AWAY 2 of these, I would like to sell them on Ebay but I can't till I find out what model or manufaturer they are.
It has a flat tab on the end of the shaft and all the ones I can find online have a threaded end.
I am certain it is for a tilt steering as I have the tilt mehcanism and cover and of coarse there are no markings whatever on the part itself other than "made in Canada''
I am pretty sure it is a teleflex but can't find the model.
Any help is greatly appriciated

Re: Can anyone identify this part?

Well I geuss I keep looking or maybe i will just ask my guy back in R&D what it is.
It just blows my mind all the stuff they pitch out, I have gotten 3 brand new yamaha control boxes before, one of them had cables and a key switch.
In this last batch they pitched 5 key switches -5 control boxes,2 in unopened boxes and a couple unopened wire harnesses and 2 of these helm pumps,in the bag unopened.
retail on the ones I found was around 600 bucks,I will stick my hand in a dumpster for that kind of money.
I put it on Ebay and consider it a little bonus for keeping stuff out of the landfill, anything I can do to help ya know.

All of those have the threaded end, the one I have is flat with a hole, I am sure it is a teleflex though.

So happens I need a helm.Do they have 2 or 3 pipe ports. The older helms needed a pressure pot ,some needed a valving system or they lock up.The newer "seastar"models are a pump in themselves.Latter is what I need.PM me if its a working 2 pipe or hose system not requiring pressure pot or valve body

Re: Can anyone identify this part?

Sorry. I quit checking this thread, there are 4 ports on the back,1 is marked "P'' one "S" and the 2 top and bottom ones are marked "R".
I don't know what the policy is on selling things here but I am more than willing if it doesn't break any rules or anything.
Let me know if that is the part you need and if I can sell it here.
