Recently bought this boat a few weeks ago as a project, can anyone tell me the make or model? it doesn't seem to have a number printed anywhere. It has a PP jet drive and was running a v6 essex motor.

I can't help with the brand name, but safe to say that trailer is not the right one for the boat. Quite a bit smaller than it needs. Sure looks fast just sitting there IMO.

Looks kinda' like an old Checkmate.

You're on the other side of the big pond, though ... so, I'm not sure. It looks new enough that in the US it would require a HIN. Any numbers stamped on the stern? Or a capacity plate anywhere?

... and, uh yeah. Trailer looks a little sketchy.

Give us some schooling: What are the rules over there: Don't you need a bill of sale and title to register the hull? Or, did you just buy it with intent to register after refurbishing? With no paper describing the hull, will you have trouble registering it?

Looks more like a Sidewinder or Wreidt, or Taylor perhaps.

Ya I know y'all got some kookie trailer requirements over there but that one still looks a lil short ...?

Found this one, which look exactly the same, but unfortunately, it's on an old eBay listing and described as a "PP Jet boat with a essex Ford v6" of unknown manufacturer :blue:

Edit: Further research show it's a Dateline Bounty.

There are no requirements to registering the boat as far as i'm aware, had multiple boats never registered.

About the trailer, yes it does look short i was skeptical when buying it, but I paid the price what the trailer is worth for the everything, which was with another ford essex engine as the one which was installed was totally shot.

The trailer wasn't fully up to the bow post also in the picture due to the weight to iron engines doesn't help that, bow post will come forward a tad and then the back axle will go back, bunks will cover the transom, it is a project but I belive it will be legal to tow with that trailer.

Thanks for the replies, I can say that it is not a Dateline Bikini, I believe they're smaller and more wider and a bit of a different shape but use the same set up as in pp jet drive,v6 essex

thanks
