Can anyone tell me why?

I'm trying to find an "everything included" water impeller kit for my '74 Rude 85 hp. I've hunted all over the place on the net and several local parts dealers and no one seems to have a "complete" kit (including the housing) for my impeller. I find kits with impeller plates, keyway, bolts, seals, etc.... but NONE that include a impeller housing. Is there something special about this housing that it doesn't come in a kit? Is it bullet proof? lol If anyone can hooke me up with a link, that'd be great. The Sierra kit # I have found(which doesn't include a housing) is SIE-183384. Any help would be great.....thank you!

BRP part number 386124 or new superseeded number 0439140.

The impeller housing alone is part number 0318933 or new superseeded number 0389157 and is available alone for $55.10

I have a number of different models of OMC motors and I have always bought my WP kits from my local OMC/BRP dealer. I've never had a problem getting a complete kit when I wanted to do a total replacement.

If you haven't check yet try your local Napa store , they have a pretty good selection of OB parts,almost sure they had the entire assembly for my 50.

I disagree Tashadaddy....I've re-read the post and it simply provides a part# and a rough price, which would probably be different in my area. I saw no "I'll sell you this for...." or "I've got one for....". Nothing like that was said. So , to me, it wasn't an attempt at selling. It was informational. I appreciate how it was presented. It helps alot. Let's move on, shall we?

i cant find the complete kit either
looks like you can get the impellar kit then buy the houseing
with plate but it would be nice to get it all looks like you may have to get it all seperate

Chdabren, the moderators erased the respone that Faztbullet typed and put in "No selling in the forums" themselves. Faztbullet was not responding to my response, he was trying to sell you something which is prohibited on the forum section of the website, it needs to be kept to the classifieds.


The part number I provided is not site specific, nor the price. Simply go on the website provided and order it online if you like, or visit your local BRP dealer. You do not need to order the kit, then the housing seperately.
