I bought an expensive new fuel hose/bulb/fittings, factory OMC, yellow 3/8". I bought it brand new from the OMC dealer last month. I bought it ASSuming that since it's brand new, OMC will have thought to keep up with the times and make it alcohol resistant.

It feels rubbery like ordinaryold fuel hose though. does anyone know if it either is alky resistant or how to find out if it is?

If you are sure it is OMC (BRP), of course it is alcohol resistant. Ethanol is a fact of life, and BRP isn't stupid. Truthfully, I haven't seen yellow ones, but I'm old school.

The manual for my 1990 Johnson 200 says that's it's good to go with up to 10% ethanol, so obviously OMC has been making alcohol tolerant parts for at least 21 years (probably a few more than that).

the yellow is just yellow trim. the nipples and check valves for their 3/8" fuel line size are what is yellow. not the hose itself. i forget what color 5/16" is. seems to me it might be red... or was it green?

I just saw some today that I believe was OMC/Bombard...it had a light colored inside liner.
