Hi guys the prob I have is, last time out with the boat fitted with a 1989 65hp suzuki oil inj engine, its max revs have been down from aprox 5500rpm to around 30000rpm, making me think its the low oil protection sys cutting in, the prob with the sys is the warning lamp is on all the time with a full tank of oil but no buzzer, now my mate who drives this boat all the time say this lamp has always been on and ran ok like this, but I am not sure, I dont drive this boat very often, its a dive club rib, anyway looking at it yesterday checking the wiring from the oil tank I found the multi connector very corroded, I cut this out to join the wires with a new connector but found the wires looking not to good, not the usual copper finish but blackened and soft, anyway with the new connector in place the lamp is sill on, we will not be able to test it till our next dive trip next weekend, but just in case if we still have the prob do any of you guys know of a way the bypass this sys till we have time to get it to the outboard shop, goes with out saying we will check the oil level each outing.

Regards from nick in the UK.
