Is there anyway to convert my 8 hp merc to a 15. My buddy has the 15 and it looks identical to my 8. anyone know what the diffs are? Is it a carb swap, or will I have to also change the reeds and exhaust tube as well? My motor is a 2 stroke.

any help would be great.

The 8 HP block is 12.8 Cu In
The 15 HP block is 16 Cu In (4 stroke is 19.7 Cu In)
Not the same, can't be done for pleasure useage.

The blocks are the exact same part number. The displacement difference comes from different stroke (crank, pistons, rods)
