Can I do anything else?

So, 77 Mercury 1150, was in halfway decent shape, after the below replacements, I see there's a tiny bit of corrosion on the internal wiring harness so I'm wondering if that's it, but the guy before me said he disassembled the fuel pump and carbs last year and gave em a good cleaning.

My question is, I see a lot of posts around that talk about getting 5800ish (manual that covers multiple years says 5800 rpm max) rpms and I have yet to see that. Right now I get about 5000 rpms, and 48mph top speed (and that's with a minute amount shaved off carbs opening fully). And this is with 2 batteries, a 15 gallon tank, myself and the g/f, all gear, and 2 live wells full of water.

I've replaced the solenoid, starter, dist cap, plugs, plug wires, fresh lync and sync, and changed the prop to a 17...

Thoughts? Am I being too picky? :)
I just want to be sure all my numbers are proper because I really like the engine and would love for it to last.
It's running and sounding great despite (what seems to be low in comparison to everyone elses numbers) 5k rpm max and a little shake, not bad, but I guess I don't have experience with any other boat engines..
It does have a hydrofoil on it, and the engine is on a mid 80's Venture Stallion bass boat (trihull)

Thanks a lot!

From the Clymer manual:

(1977) Models 115 & 1150 115/5000-5500

Ahh awesome, ty carholme!
I'll have to get a clymer, not sure which one I got since it's a pdf, but it covers a whole bunch of years, I've seen multiple discrepancies that makes this harder than not lol

I say with that boat and load 48 is a great number. If you are looking for top end, lose the foil as all it is doing is dragging water at that speed.Guys use jackplates and raise there motors on the transom so there is less drag, lower unit in the water and you or PO have that ugly POS hanging off that beautiful 115.....................

Ahh good point Mr88 :)
Though doesn't the foil allow for planing at lower speeds?
