I want to move this motor to a pontoon boat, but since it's coming off a Fish 'n Ski, the prop won't reach the water. Is it possible to extend the lower unit, or replace the one that's there with a longer one? I don't have exact measurements yet. I'm just seeing if this can be done. I want a pontoon boat, and I have this motor that was recently rebuilt.
I can't afford a new pontoon boat, and the only ones I could afford would likely have an old tired motor on it. So, I'm thinking if I can use this motor on a used pontoon boat, I win!
