Can I put a 9.9 kicker on my 16' Lund Explorer with 60hp tiller?

Hello All,

I have a 16' Lund Explorer with a 60hp tiller on the back. I do an extensive amount of trolling. For safety and wear and tear issues, I was considering a 9.9 kicker. Is this possible, practicle, is there room?

If not, are there other options?

Not sure which model Lund you have. I have a 2001 1650 Explorer that is 16'10" with a 60 hp Merc console steer and 9.9 4 stroke Merc kicker. I wouldn't call it "plenty" of room, but there's room.

how wide is your boat? it should fit though. what year?
