Holly Red. You need more than 15 gph delivery. pressure needs to be between about 2 and 5 lbs.

Safety interlock with the kill circuit is something I'd consider a must.

I put one on my 83 150 but never could get it where it was happy at both idle and WOT. I was just experimenting so never did get to the emergency shut off which would have been a must have.

Why not fix the one you have since it is apparently the reason you want to go electric.

Springing off Silvertip, there are a dozen or so things that can go wrong in the fuel delivery system. An electric fuel pump will fix only one of them, and so most people that opt to install one instead of properly diagnosing their trouble wind up dissatisfied, because it won't fix the problem.

The stock system works very well, and is easy to maintain and safe. These carbs like a couple of lbs at idle, and tend to flood if it's much more. At WOT, they are thirsty, and 5 psi works well. Guess what, that's what the stock pulse driven fuel pump delivers.

I've got a 1954 Johnson Seahorse CD-10 that i'm having trouble with the pressurized tank. Rather than bother with the rebuild of the tank, i'd much rather put on a 12 volt inline pump. They have a rating of 1.5-4psi. The only issue i can see with that is the lack of a kill switch.

A ground to stop system is pretty easy to convert. you put in a spdt switch. Wiper goes to ground. On goes to the ground for the fuel pump relay, off goes to the kill circuit.

Other setups may require a more complicated switch, or a relay.
