like to clean my carb,before i take it apart,like to know can i run some carb cleaner mix with gas and oil first,is that will hurt anything?

The most important part of carb cleaning is the jets and orifices. If they are gummed running cleaner in the fuel won't do much.

Sort of like taking a shower without taking your clothes off. It won't do any harm, but to get really clean you gotta get naked first.

agreed. Id just take them apart now. If you know they need to be cleaned, cut the foreplay and get into them. Thats where the real gunk will be, unless you have reason to believe that your fuel lines are also gummed up..and even carb cleaner wont do THAT great of a job funneling through dirty lines.
