Well I bought a 12A circuit breaker 50A for my 12V setup. Now I'm going 24V. Can I use that breaker on my 24V series connection or am I SOL?

I am pretty sure they are compatible for 12 or 24 v systems. I know the one I purchased indicated it was... But someone will let me know if I am wrong :)

OP...

How long did your 12v breaker last? Is it still working?

assume this is a trolling motor? check your owners manual -- most 24V trolling motors draw less current than 12V, it may require a lower rated breaker than that one.

I'm not convinced a 12V 50A breaker will give you any protection at all.
