Re: Can I use diluted diesel?

A number of flamable fluids can be used as fuel in combustion engines. Not that they run good on it, but something will happen.

If you want your motor to work as it is meant to (cold startability, idle, mid throttle, flat out and all combinations of temperatures and load), you want you ignition system to work flawlessly and you want your interal motorparts to last (pistons especially), you should use nothing but the specified fuel. Minimum 87 oct, unleaded and TWC-3 oil.

Hi Fishy,
2U is being way too polite. Putting anything but petrol(in Australia)/gasoline of the correct octane rating through your O/B is insanity. You will destroy your engine.
These home brew mixes tend to run leaner/richer/
hotter/ colder (your choice) than regular fuel & may destroy the lubricating properties of your oil.
You may save a few cents per gallon but this puppy will come back & bite you right in the wallet.
Regards,
Peter.
