I just recently inherited a 1982 9.9 gamefisher motor. it is in mint condition (been sitting in a closet in a house), but has no fuel lines. I has the barb coming off the carb where you would put a fuel line to but im doing research and its saying there is a connector that connected the inside hose to the outside hose going to the fuel tank. The problem is i caint figure out that that connector was or looks like. Also, a 5/16 hose will work good on the carb connector right? It goes on with a little tightness but 1/4 fits better, it is just hard to get 1/4 fuel lines around me. What have yall done to run fuel lines to these old gamefishers in the past? I am new to this sight but have been reading posts off of here for months but just finally signed up! Thanks in advance for all the help

If someone could show me a picture of what they have came up with to solve this problem would be awesome. I wanted to keep this motor all stock if possible but i will do what needs to be done to get me in the water.

I'm sure it's an easy fix,,but a pic.of what you have would really help you get your answer. Is there a remote gas tank included?

I have an old Tanaka/Gamefisher and found some good fuel lines and fittings at Northern Tool....they were mostly stuff for chain saws, blowers and weed eaters but the parts work fine....there's also a small in-line fuel filter that fits under there very well....check Northern Tool or a similar type industrial supply store...good luck!

I have a 57 Elgin 12 that was minus a connector. I hooked up a gas line and worm clamped an Evinrude outboard connector to it and now I can plug in my OMC tank connectors. Works fine. OMC motor connectors should be an easy find anywhere.
