My 05 Stingray 185 has been giving me fits with the trim randomly not working. It will get stuck up, down, midway and when it does I just get a buzzing sound from what I assume is the trim solenoid(picture attached). Now here's the kicker. I can run a new ground from tne negative of the battery to the negative of the solenoid and everything works perfectly(you can see my ground wire in the pic). I've pulled the wires, cleaned all the connections, cleaned the battery cables and put it all back factory and it does the same thing but works perfect with my new ground. Is that ground somehow bypassing the solenoid? What I'm asking is what do I need to do to fix the problem with right way?
