Can Someone (id) This Motor & Outdrive??

I have a 1960"S cruiser's inc 570 seacamper with a inboard motor & outdrive, every sea camper i see has a outboard. it was put there by the factory & has never had a outboard on it. it's a 1960 to 1965,can anyone help me out with this & any other info on this boat???? well, it's an omc, and if its that old, although i have never personally seen one, it could be an "L" drive. if that is the case, you have some work ahead of you

Pretty sure the L drive was 1980's Mercury/Force and not OMC. The pics are too small, and not a good side angle shot of the drive. The engine looks like a Crusader, but I would not bet on anything from the pics.

Yup Ldrive was much later and a Bayliner and Force idea. Not a bad one just too different and too limited.

the motor & out drive run like new, just wanted to know more about what i had. the motor & out drive has been there when the boat was new & it was my uncle boat. I will take more pic's in the morning when the sun comes up!! i would like to see another cruisers inc sea camper 570 with inboard in it. the only no's on motor are the firing order (165432) . the only thing on the outdrive & water manaflods are a big G with a small M at the top & a W at the bottem of the G. eaton made a super G outdrive but they don't look like mine. & this can't be a one of a kind. THANK"S FOR THE INFO (DOUG)

its definatly not an L drive their basicallly an out board put inboard and turned sideways,I think they were only made around 91-92, that looks like its probably a ford 6 cylinder?

Pics are still small, but thats definitely a V8. Looks like a Buick big block, maybe a 455 based on the diagonal front mount distributor. Nothing else I know of has that setup.

Is the drive maybe an incredibly early Volvo? I know they came out with their Aquamatic in the real early 60s.

It's a v6, i called cruisers inc & they siad i have a 1964 20ft 570 cabin camper, but they could not tell me what powered it. the outdrive is proably a eaton & motor is buick or ford,more they likly a buick. thank you all for your help, the boat is in great shape & the restore is going great. i'll post more pic's when i get a chance. THANK"S DOUG!!

looks like an Eaton Interceptor probably a buick eng good luck
