Can someone school me on seat pedestal ratings?

Looking to outfit a 14' mirrocraft with a floor and pedestal seats but I dont know what to buy.

Are the D rated Driver seats with the 150lbs side load rating good enough when properly secured for all boating situations?


No plans on jumping my boat or going outside the inlet, but I do want to make sure the helm seat stays with the boat at all times.

Assuming you are talking about the swivel portion.

"Driver's" pedestal means that the swivel can lock in place, secures the seat so the driver doesn't fall off seat and lose control of the boat.

To answer your question, I would say yes.
