can someone tell me where this hose goes?

i have a 94 evinrude 120. i was trying to put my cowl back on today and the lever was hitting the water intake hose or whatever you call it. its attached to the pee hole. mine is just laying at the bottom of cowl. is it supposed to be pluggged in somewhere? i cant find anything about it in my manual. i have attaced a pic.

It goes in the lowest part of the pan with the notches in the end facing down. It will pull out any water that gets inside the hood and settles back there. Doesn't connect to anything, just sits in the lowest part.

The aspirator, a solution looking for a problem. IMHO one of the more useless ideas OMC ever had.

just make sure the notches in the end facing down clear of any dirt or junk as it will want allow it to suck any water which will defeat it purpose and water lvl will go up touching your plugs ?.etc
