i normally use quicksilver oil but it is really expensive and i remembered that i had two gallons of super tech oil in my garage but they have been there for about five years now i was wondering if it would be alright to use on my next trip

if it was a sealed container than it prolly ok, if it's been opened my concern would be some condensation might have tainted it, take a look and check.

I don't think it would go bad either. I inherited 2 cases of the old chrysler oil that came in the pop top cans from the early 70's and it still was good as the motor ran for several seasons on it without any issues. Of course it was sealed so that probably was a factor.

I had some 25-30 year old Chrysler oil I open and all was good except for one can. It's a biological product so "bad" should appear as rotten...Including the smell:)
