Can u help identify a part?

What is the part called that holds the back of the engine to the transom plate on a 1980mercruiser 260 5.7l v8? If you refer to the thread in the trailers and towing forum and look for the post titled "the cobalt is a total loss" you will read what happened. this piece is broken on both sides of the engine, in the back behind the y-pipe. is this a rear motor mount, transom plate, bell housing or what? I dont have pics as of yet, and I looked in the manual in the sticky and I cant find what im looking for.. Any help is greatly appreciated?

It is the part that attaches the back of the engine to the transom. I believe it is the part where u would make adjustments for engine alignment...
