Can you adjust carbs???

75 merc 500 50hp,good compression,new fuel pump I see an adjustment for the idle speed but is there something for high speed adjustment?? if so where and how do u do it thanks Erik

Nope - the high speed jets are fixed and that's it.<br /><br /> Just make sure the spark advance is 34-35 degrees at full advance and no more than that.<br /><br />-W

question thanks for your help..When i rebuilt these carbs on the directions it says run engine half speed and adjust high idle needle whats that??? also how do i do the ignition advance??? can i just run the engine under load and adjust the timing screw??? thanks for all your help Erik
