hey guys came accross this yamaha 115 for sale. its a 20" shaft and the owner claims its a 1991..based off the pic, to me it looks like it could be a newer outboard, maybe a '96 or in the ballpark? ive had a '93 yam few years ago and it had a "less rounded" cowling..anyone know what year this might be? im going to drive several hours to look at it and like to get an idea before hand whether or not the owner is right about the year. thanks

It looks like it might be newer, but I am not an expert, especially by sight. Ask him to give you the model number and then you can get a definent answer.

If they can not give a model # then there is a chance some one has removed it on purpose and could be a hot motor.
I try to never feed those types, but the government forces me to once they are caught.
