Okay, I dont have a camera, but I could use some help in identifying a boat I am looking at buying...and some advice as well.
Its a '73 model offshore type cabin boat. (dont know the maker) Approx. 25' with single cabin with full windows forward and a single berth. The captains seat is a single pole mount with windshields in front of it overlooking the cabin.
Heres the thing, its been sitting for at least ten years since a widows husband passed away. It was used regularly till then, but been sitting ever since. It has an OMC drive, with a V-8 that says 225 on it. What size is that? The spark plugs were removed several years back, so the engine is siezed. The tires are all flat allowing the outdrive to perch into the mud about 8 inches or so, so I cant turn the prop at all. In general would this be a good outdrive? Is this worth trying to fix with the engine siezed? I can get the whole rig, trailer and all for around $500 so I was thinking it might be worth a chance. The hull seems very solid, along with all flooring. All windows are intact although the cabin is a wreck...moldy and all.
Whaddya think?
